Bayou Asset Renewal collects retired computers, servers and storage across Northwest Louisiana. Every drive is erased to NIST SP 800-88 or physically destroyed, and you get a serialized certificate you can hand an auditor. There is no charge — we are paid out of whatever the hardware is still worth.

What we do
Most people think they're hiring someone to haul equipment away. What they're actually buying is the document that proves the data is gone — because the liability for that data stays with them until it is.
Scheduled pickup against a signed manifest. Units travel whole, drives installed — no gap where something can go missing.
Every device logged on receipt: serial, media type, source system, date, receiving signature. This is the anchor everything reconciles to.
Erased to NIST SP 800-88 with a per-device certificate, or physically destroyed — on your site, while you watch, if you prefer.
Working equipment is tested, graded and resold; the rest is recycled responsibly. Those proceeds are what pay for the service, which is why there is no invoice.
What you receive
Plenty of vendors hand over a single-page letter saying "your equipment was destroyed." That proves nothing about any particular drive. Ours is serialized, line by line, and reconciles against your own decommissioning list without manual matching.

Every certificate carries the client, date, method with its NIST reference, item count, destruction location, timestamped chain of custody with signed handoffs, and the certifying operator's signature. Where a client requires sworn documentation, we have it notarized.
Where we stand today
Bayou Asset Renewal is a new Louisiana company built on years of hands-on practice — teardown, testing, grading and resale of retired equipment. Here is exactly what is in place now and what is not. If you need something we can't defensibly deliver, we'll say so.
What it costs. Nothing. Collection, data destruction, certificates and reporting carry no fee, and we keep the proceeds from whatever still has resale value. That is the whole arrangement, stated plainly so there is no question about it later.
The one exception: a load that is overwhelmingly low-value material — CRT monitors, older printers, bulk cabling — costs more to process than it returns. We will tell you that before pickup and quote it rather than quietly absorb it.
What our certifications mean in practice. If your policy or your client agreements require an R2v3-certified vendor today, we are not that vendor yet, and we'll tell you so on the first call rather than the third. We'll point you to someone who is.
If what you need is documented, defensible destruction from someone local who answers the phone and can be on site the same week — that we can do now, and we'd like the chance to prove it on one batch.
Who we work with
You refresh client hardware constantly and it piles up in the back. We take whole units, handle the drives, and return a certificate per client — so your chain of custody never has a gap in it.
Law firms, accountants, insurance and real estate agencies. Small volumes, real obligations, and usually no good answer for the closet full of old machines.
Regulated data on a scale that doesn't justify a national vendor. On-site destruction means the drives never leave your sight.
Relocations, downsizing, consolidations. One pickup, everything documented, and nothing to pay.
